Ah gie it an A+

If i were a music critic…. ie if I were to give a harsh or captious judgement  or a professional analysis, evaluation or appreciation of works of art, as the Greek word Kritike or the art of critiquing has come to mean since 1651  how  would I review the week gone?

I would not bother.

To quote John Lennon, critics, have an illusion they’ve created about artists – it’s like idol worship. They only people when they’re on their way up… i cannot be on my way up again.

A good sympathetic review is actually a wonderful surprise. Have you noticed how difficult it is to use the word decadence since the critics have begun applying it anything that they do not understand or seem to differ from their moral concepts?

If i were to use the 15th century middle English word revue, from middle French revoir or to see again, re-examine, then it would be a retrospective view or survey, and  that is a great thing to do,  even then I do not look back unless I am planning to go that way, for I have no desire to suffer twice, in reality and then in retrospect.
