coping up with stress

Did you know that Elber Hubbard says that the man who doesn’t relax and hoot a few hoots voluntarily, now and then is in great danger of hooting hoots and standing on his head for the edification of the pathologist and trained nurse , a little later on!

Stress is an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency, the only fast acting way to deal with this is to slow down. The process of slowing down for me involves a hot water bath,

Sylvia Plath says in The Bell Jar there must be quite a few things that a hot bath won’t cure, but like her I don’t know any of them.

This is of course followed by a hot cup of chocolate or coffee. “sauve molecules of Mocha stir up your blood, without causing excess heat: the organ of thought receives from a feeling of sympathy;work becomes easier and you will sit down without distress to your principal repast which will restore your body and afford you a calm, delicious night” declared Prince Talleyrand on behalf of all coffee-fans.

As for chocolate it’s not cheating! After a salty meal you need a bit of sweet. This living not cheating.
