Ballot box

Ballot Boxes

Am I influenced by advertisements to vote for someone,

Like W.C.Wells, hell I never vote for anybody, I always vote against.

My spontaneous reply would be of course not.

But when I analyse it the indirect advertisement or being media popular does play a role though maybe negative but it does, It creates an image and it creates a following a hate club or a love club.

Guess at the end of the day I would say a direct advertisement no, but an indirect one yes. Actually it’s not voting that is democracy it is counting.

Franklin P.Adams is right when says that “Elections are won by men and women chiefly because people vote against somebody rather than for somebody. ”

Coming to think of it as George Jean Nathan put it — Bad officials are elected by good citizens who do not vote!!
